Play Pipes Parrot Gym Model III Sets New Standard in Parrot Gyms

Ijamsville, MD -- April 26, 1998 -- The Play Pipes Co. announced today the release of the first double wide gym in a complete line of parrot exercise and display stands for release this year. The Play Pipes Parrot Gym Model III is the first parrot gym to provide the size, durability and easy cleaning required by multiple parrot owners. The Play Pipes Co.'s new design is functional and attractive. A combination not previously available in PVC parrot gyms.

The specific focus of the Play Pipes Parrot Gym is to provide a safe, attractive and entertaining place for Parrots to hang out while away from their cages. Play Pipes Parrot Gyms are made of high quality materials that will last for years. Measuring 48"L x 24"w x 48" h, the Play Pipes Gym is large enough to accommodate several medium to large birds at a time. The PVC frame and wood-grain perches wipe clean easily and the waterproof canvas tray is machine washable. The unique tray uses Velcro to attach to the bottom of a 24" x 48" base and is available in various color schemes.

A large Manzanita Wood swing doubles as a climbing chain and has enough room to hang toys inside the top of the swing. All cross bars and perches on the standard Model III are attractively wood-grained for improved grip and can be interchanged with optional nail and beak conditioning cement perches. Several eye hooks are included on the standard Model III and the main top perch is reinforced to accommodate even the heaviest of Macaw toys without sagging. The two 32 ounce feeding bowls are easily removed by people while remaining a challenge for even the smartest cockatoo. The bowls are dishwasher safe and positioned to keep the mess inside the tray.

"We are committed to providing today's parrot owners with a quality gym that will last for years. Having shared our homes with Macaws, Cockatoos, Amazons, Conures and Cockatiels for years, we have developed our gyms to keep birds happy and healthy. Play Pipes Gyms are designed for use in the home, aviary and pet store environments," said Bill Carpenter, executive vice president of The Play Pipes Co.
